Visit the Wells Log Cabin (circa 1870) and pioneer cemetery located near the trailhead. Journey through the river flood plain and along the banks of the Withlacoochee River. This is a very diverse area with an abundance of wildlife and a wide variety of indigenous plant and tree species. Canopy lanes and single file trails wind past ancient dry sinkholes, cavernous sinkholes, crystal clear springs and over five miles along the banks the pristine Withlacoochee River. Loop through a 2000 acre Yellow Pine state forest and see a little piece of the original Florida.

This is one of  the largest tracts of longleaf pine timber left in the southeast. All the trails are well maintained, very secluded and include private and state lands (over 5000 acres). Six meals are included: dinner on Friday, breakfast, lunch on the trail & Bar B Q dinner on Saturday, breakfast and lunch on Sunday. Outdoor stalls in a secure corral and indoor stalls, all with running water, are available and can be reserved when registering.. Located 10 miles from I-75 and 15 miles from I-10 we're easy to find yet well off the beaten path. So load up the horses, pack the gear and come spend the weekend with us.
